The Hounds of Cuchulain are a band that I like.
They are a high-energy Celtic folk band from Victoria, British Columbia. They started in 2021.
The band plays many instruments, including a penny whistle, the guitar, the fiddle, harp, banjo and many more!
The band is led by Wolf Edwards, who sings and plays the guitar. He is joined by:
- Madeleine Townley: Vocals, Irish harp, and tin whistle
- Briana Kennedy: Fiddle and vocals
- Dexter Simpson: Irish tenor banjo
- Benjamin Garrison: Mandolin and vocals
- Jeff Feltmate: Bodhrán and fiddle
- Theodore Waite on double bass
The Hounds have performed at my day program. They are coming to my birthday this year! The reason I’m writing about them is that I want everybody to know about them. They are a great Irish band!
Wolf is a good friend of mine and the Hounds have played at my birthday parties for three years in a row now!
The first spot that I saw them was at the Sidney Market a few years ago. They play Irish music. They also play at the Irish Times Pub and at the Oaks in Oak Bay.
I really enjoy having dinner and listening to their music.
A few of my favorite songs are Farewell to Nova Scotia, The Black Velvet Band, The Irish Rover and Whisky In the Jar!
